Accelerated Pathway to Justice For Abused Children

The Accelerated Pathway to Justice for Abused Children (APAJAC) program is a critical initiative designed to fast-track legal and law enforcement processes in cases of severe child abuse. Our goal is to ensure that child victims receive timely protection and justice.

The alarming rates of child abuse, torture, and exploitation in Cameroon, particularly in the Southwest Region, are a disturbing reality. These heinous acts have become rampant, demanding decisive action to protect our most vulnerable children.

APAJAC aims to close the justice gap for abused children by strengthening collaboration between local and international stakeholders. This collaborative platform will bring together key actors from the judiciary, law enforcement, social services, civil society organizations, religious leaders, traditional authorities, and the media. By working together, we can develop effective strategies to combat this scourge and create a safer environment for our children.

Tragic incidents, such as the case of a child nailed on the head by her stepmother in Limbe and a father who raped his 10-year-old daughter in Lysoka-Buea, highlight the urgent need for a unified platform like APAJAC.
